Temporary Interruption of Google Workspace Services
The Computer Center has been actively preparing for the renewal of Google Workspace licenses since the beginning of the year. We have been in continuous negotiation with the original reseller, aiming to secure a reasonable price and ensure uninterrupted service. A transition plan was put in place in advance, including a 7-day grace period and a 1-month short-term rental, to allow for a smooth handover between the old and new licenses and to protect the service rights of faculty and students. (See additional notes below.)
However, on the morning of August 1, we discovered that Google did not provide the expected 7-day grace period, resulting in an unexpected interruption to some services. This was not anticipated. The Computer Center has urgently contacted the reseller to activate the short-term license immediately and is expediting the license adjustment process. It is expected to take 1–2 business days to complete.
During this time, some Google Workspace features will be temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Additional Information:
This license renewal process was prompted by Google's global pricing policy adjustment, which prolonged the negotiation for over three months. A reasonable quote was only obtained in July, after which procurement was initiated. The original reseller had indicated that a 7-day grace period would follow the expiration, and the university planned a 1-month short-term rental starting August 7 accordingly. Unfortunately, Google did not honor the grace period, causing this unexpected interruption. The Computer Center has activated contingency measures to restore services as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
